Smith welcomes SNP U-turn on Scots language funding

Commenting as the Scottish Government have finally pledged funding to secure the future of the Scots Language Dictionaries and the Scots Language Centre, Liberal Democrat Culture spokesperson Iain Smith MSP said:

"Liberal Democrats welcome this U-turn from SNP Ministers and the fact that funding is now finally secured for these important centres.

"It is regrettable, however, that there has been such a delay in confirming continued funding. This has caused unnecessary anxiety and disruption for those involved with these valuable projects."
