West of Scotland Liberal Democrat MSP Ross Finnie has called on NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to guarantee the long term future of the League of Friends tea bar.
After Wednesdays meeting between the League of Friends and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde the spring eviction notice was lifted, but NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde still failed to provide any promises on the long term future of the tea bar.Ross Finnie MSP: West of Scotland
Commenting Mr Finnie said:
"Although the lifting of the eviction notice is welcome, we must continue to pressure NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to provide guarantees on the long term future of the League of Friends tea bar.
"I have submitted a motion in the Parliament urging my fellow MSP's to continue to pressure NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde over the future of the tea bar.
"I see no reason why the situation would change after the end of the trial of Aroma styled cafes by the health board, so I would implore NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to bring an end to this fiasco by guaranteeing the long term future of the tea bar."
