Responding to the publication on the Scottish Futures Trust's business plan, Liberal Democrat Finance Spokesperson Jeremy Purvis has described the claims that the Forth Crossing and the Borders railway are part of its 'portfolio of projects' as simply laughable.
"The SFT was promised to fund these projects but they are not even managing them.
"To claim that they are actually part of its portfolio is just a joke.
"If the SFT is funding and running the Forth Crossing, then I commend the body for keeping this a secret for so long.
"Why on earth has Transport Scotland recruited a six figure salaried project director?
"The SFT is so far away from its intended aim- to fund these bodies- that it is now reduced to simply claiming these projects for itself.
"It hasn't funded a single school, bridge or railway.
